Description
Honey has a very important property – to receive certain substances from the plants from which it is made. Bulgarian herbal honey is unique in its nature because its beneficial nutritional qualities are determined by the characteristic of the herbs growing in the region from where it is collected.
Our farms are located in the northwestern part of Bulgaria (often called the “Wild Northwest”) and the area from where the honey is collected is extremely biodiverse, with hills with altitude of 240 to 850 meters. There are no developed agriculture, industry, large settlements and other forms of human activity which may have a negative impact on the environment and, therefore, the quality of the honey.
There are over 100 species of wild herbs with some of the most famous ones bering thyme, oregano, yarrow, mint, dandelion, chamomile, lemon balm etc. Bulgarian herbal honey includes many useful substances from the aforementioned herbs.
